INDIA: Supreme Court rejects Italy's plea, orders NIA to complete investigations into marines' case

The Supreme Court has rejected Italy's plea challenging NIA investigation and has asked the probe agency to expeditiously complete the investigations.
The apex court also rejected Italy's plea to remove the sections from FIR which have provisions for mandatory death penalty.
The court ordered the NIA to complete probe and file the charge-sheet in the case.
SC said the Marines will continue to remain on bail and would be treated to be in the custody of the apex court till the completion of investigation.
