R.I.P. Dr. Edmund Sengondo Mvungi

Dr Mvungi attained his Juris doctorate at Hamburg University in Germany after he had successfully obtained his bachelor and Master degrees of law at the University of Dar es Salaam.

Prior to his post as a member of CRC, Dr Mvungi was Advocate of the High Court and Court of Appeal of Tanzania.

He was a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public and had been a Dean of the Faculty of Law and lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Board Membership and Affiliation Vice Chairman for the Media Council of Tanzania (MCT).

Until his death he was Deputy Vice Chancellor - University of Bagamoyo. 

Mvungi also worked as journalist with Uhuru and Mzalendo newspapers in the 70s and 80s, before leaving to pursue law studies.
