INDIA: Deepak Bhardwaj murder case: Cops arrest sharpshooter
Delhi Police have made the first arrest in the Deepak Bhardwaj murder case.
The cops on Monday arrested sharpshooter Purushottam Rana, who allegedly shot dead the BSP tycoon in his farmhouse here.
The arrest comes a day after cops nabbed the man who was allegedly driving the Skoda Laura car in which the killers of BSP billionaire Deepak Bhardwaj entered his farmhouse.
The car had showed up in CCTV footage from the farmhouse.
The suspect, identified as Amit, was nabbed from a house in Jahangirpuri area of north Delhi, a source said.
The cops had learnt about Amit from the interrogation of Rakesh, the Skoda owner.
Police, however, have not officially confirmed Amit's detention.
A source said that Bhardwaj's elder son was extensively questioned on Sunday, as were students of a DU college, where one of the shooters, Sunil Mann, studied.
