Four Tanzanians land in South African court over drugs

Police in the commercial city of Zeerust, South Africa, have arrested four Tanzanians aged between 26 and 41 years on Tuesday at Groot Marico.
They have been charged under the Drug and Drug Trafficking Act no 140 of 1992 and International Trade Administration Act 71 of 2002.
Authorities in Tanzania are yet to receive the reports, but promised to follow up the incident. It is alleged that a truck, which towed an Iveco panel van drove through Kopfontein border post at about 10.30 on Tuesday morning.
It is further alleged that the truck was from Tanzania on its way to Pretoria. Police suspected the truck and followed it until Groot Marico. The police allegedly stopped and searched both the truck and the panel van with the assistance of narcotic dogs which reacted positively.
